FYI, this story is more than a year old

Origin IT, PB Tech and Acquire are Rok-ing on after the three resellers took out Ingram Micro NZ's recent HPE Microsoft ROK promotion.

The promotion, which ran from June to August, saw the three resellers purchasing the most ROK units during the promotional period winning a DJI Phantom 3 Professional – valued at $1900.

The first 50 ROK (reseller option kit) orders also received a Jabra Solemate speaker and power bank.

HP ROK is the Windows Server operating system customised and optimised specifically for ProLiant servers and Bios-locked to ensure it can only be installed on ProLiant servers.

Sejal Shah, Ingram Micro NZ Hewlett Packard Enterprise product manager, says the campaign proved highly successful.

“There was quite a lot of demand,” Shah says. “There was huge interest behind the whole thing and the buying was great and it leveraged curiosity as well.

“This sort of campaign drives more business towards us and towards HPE because it is an incentive-driven business.

A follow-up with resellers after the promotion found high interest from resellers in the ROK offering.

“A lot of people had the ROK knowledge, but there were a number who wanted to learn more about it, so it's driving the awareness,” Shah says. “During our current campaign, people are going to be well aware of what ROK is.

A new ROK campaign is now underway, offering the top three ROK resellers between September and November a chance to win an HP Elite X3.
