FYI, this story is more than a year old

Ingram Micro New Zealand has expanded its leadership team, appointing Adam Peden as general manager of retail sales for New Zealand.

Peden, who was previously services sales manager for Ingram Micro mobility, will be responsible for managing the Ingram Micro retail sales team, which currently numbers seven specialist retail sales staff, working with key partners to help them grow their businesses.

Gary Bigwood, Ingram Micro NZ managing director, says Peden's appointment will also support opportunities in other parts of the Ingram Micro business.

“Adam's appointment will provide Kelly Eyerman, general manager consumer and Apple business, with the opportunity and bandwidth to spend more time developing the vendor side of our consumer business, which continues to deliver exciting growth opportunities,” Bigwood says.

“There are a plethora of interesting and exciting products that are launching in the months ahead and we look forward to Adam and Kelly's teams bringing these to the New Zealand market.

Bigwood says the appointment highlights the distributor's strategy to grow its senior leadership team to better support its ongoing expansion in New Zealand.

“Adam has been a top performer within the Ingram Micro business, with his most recent accomplishment being the development and management of our successful Lifecycle Services Division,” Bigwood says.

“This change to general manager, retail sales, actually sees Adam return to his roots.

“When Adam was at Brightpoint, he was a senior retail account manager, recognised - and awarded - for his expertise by New Zealand retailers,” Bigwood adds.

“We are delighted that Adam will now be bringing his proven methods to our wider retail sales team.
