FYI, this story is more than a year old

Norwood Systems has appointed Ronan Dunne as a Strategic Adviser.

Dunne has held senior leadership positions at major telecommunications companies, including Verizon and O2 (now part of Telefónica).

In his role at Norwood Systems, he will provide strategic guidance and counsel to the company's leadership team as it looks to expand its global presence in the telecommunications industry.

Based in London, Dunne brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held senior leadership positions at some of the world's largest telecommunications companies.

Recently, he served as CEO of Verizon Consumer Group, the largest division of Verizon Communications, where he led the company’s market-leading adoption of 5G while delivering record profits and customer satisfaction.

Following his executive leadership engagement at Verizon, Dunne acted as Strategic Advisor to Hans Vesterberg, the CEO at Verizon, and represented Verizon as its Non-Executive Director on the board of Yahoo.

Prior to Verizon, Dunne was CEO of O2, a leading telecommunications provider in the United Kingdom. He has previously served on the Boards of Guardian Media Group, AVG Technologies, Tesco Mobile and Manx Telecom.

In addition to his work in telecommunications, Dunne is also a director of Marks and Spencer Group and serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Six Nations Rugby.

In his new role at Norwood Systems, Dunne will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and counsel to the company's leadership team, led by CEO Paul Ostergaard, as it looks to expand its global presence in the telecommunications industry.

His expertise in the field will be invaluable as the company looks to build upon its strong foundation and continue to deliver innovative solutions to its customers.

Dunne will engage with the Norwood team to assist with formulating the company’s strategy and execution plans, particularly on Norwood’s go-to-market approach for its AI Cognitive Services portfolio, powered by CogVoice.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ronan to the team!” Ostergaard says.

“His extensive experience in the telecommunications industry and proven track record of success make him the perfect fit for this strategic advisory role.

“We are confident that his insights and guidance will be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve as a company,” Ostergaard adds.

“I am excited to join the talented team at Norwood Systems and contribute my expertise to the company's strategic growth efforts,” Dunne says.

“The telecommunications industry is constantly evolving, and Norwood is uniquely positioned at the forefront of the harnessing of AI to create differentiated and valuable propositions in the telecoms sector.

“I look forward very much to working with the Norwood team to achieve great success in the future.”
